As a photographer, designer, and music lover, my career blends creativity and technology. With over 25 years in website design and development, my passion for photography goes back even further.
In the early ’90s, involved in my local music scene, I began photographing bands, and became official photographer at a popular venue, before studying photography full-time, earning both a HND and BA (Hons). Since then, my work has been published by Rolling Stone, BBC, Classic Rock, The Independent, and more. Along the way I've been recognised, with an image shortlisted in the 2010 NME Photography Awards and winning the Gibson Sonisphere Photography Competition in 2011. Today, my music photography is distributed via Rex Features/Shutterstock for editorial use, and I continue with my passion as a self-proclaimed photojournalist via my website, Hit The Lights.
After graduating from university, my goal was to make photography a full-time career, but it’s fair to say this inadvertently led me down the path of website design and development instead. However, I’ve always kept photography close to my work. Over the years, I’ve integrated my skills to help clients achieve visual results that elevate their online presence. This has included everything from offering guidance to improve their own photography to sourcing quality stock images, and, for local clients, undertaking commercial photography, industrial photography, and event photography projects.
As of early 2024, I made the decision to set up a dedicated business specifically for photography, allowing me to focus fully on helping businesses capture authentic, compelling visuals that stand out. I specialise in commercial, industrial, and event photography, bringing an unscripted, natural approach that gives brands a distinct, dynamic edge. Whether you’re looking for imagery for print, digital, marketing or advertising, I’m dedicated to helping your story shine.
Based in Worcestershire, I’m available for business photography throughout Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands, with flexibility to travel across the UK, particularly for music photography commissions. So, if you’re looking to create images that truly resonate, let’s connect - I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
